To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what United Kingdom defence forces are available in Turkey for use in the protection of the Kurds.

The United Kingdom contribution to the coalition deterrent force in south-east Turkey comprises eight Jaguar reconnaissance/ground attack and two tanker aircraft plus ground support. In addition, the United Kingdom has a representative on the Coalition Military Co-ordination Committee.
