Mr. Dobson

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he will give separate figures for the spending by the Duchy of Lancaster on(a) television advertising, (b) radio advertising, (c) newspaper advertising and (d) other promotional material in 1979–80 and in each following year up to and including 1991–92; and what is his latest estimate for 1992–93.

The Duchy of Lancaster advertises in some national and local newspapers as part of the administration of intesteces as required by statute. Sums spent and estimates are as follows:

I received the Advisory Board for the Research Councils' advice on I May. It was offered to me in confidence and I have no plans to publish it.
