§ Ms. Janet AndersonTo ask the Secretary of State for Education (1) if he will approve the application for capital grant in respect of an extension to St. Veronica's voluntary-aided primary school, Haslingden, Rossendale;
(2) if he will approve the application for capital grant in respect of developments at St. Mary's voluntary-aided primary school, Haslingden, Rossendale.
§ Mr. ForthMy right hon. Friend approved a proposal to enlarge significantly the premises of St. Veronica's on 6 February 1992 together with the associated project at St. Mary's. This approval means that he will be prepared to pay maintenance contribution on governors' approved net building expenditure subject to a maximum cash limit based on 85 per cent. of the governors' share of the scheme which estimated total capital costs of £580,000.
