§ Lord James Douglas-Hamilton[holding answer 22 June 1992]: The restrictions on Sunday trading contained in the Shops Act 1950 do not apply in Scotland, other than to hairdressers and barbers. Since the start of this year, my right hon. Friend has received two representations advocating the imposition of restrictions on Sunday trading in Scotland.
