§ Mr. CashTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what estimate he has made of the cost of implementing title VI of the Maastricht treaty in so far as it relates to justice and home affairs.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeTitle VI brings together into a more coherent framework existing intergovernmental work in justice and home affairs matters. Additional support services may be needed, which will be negotiated in the usual way through the Community budget procedures. Otherwise, costs will arise only on a case-by-case basis from actions agreed between the member states and will he borne by the member states themselves.
