§ Mr. SteenTo ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage what progress he is making in completing the redevelopment plans at the imperial war museum, Lambeth road; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Mellor[holding answer 15 July 1992]: I commend the success of the first development phase at the museum, which was completed in 1989. I have received the imperial war museum's 1992 corporate plan which indicates the programme and objectives for the next stage of development at the Lambeth road building, and this will be assessed against all other spending priorities on museums and galleries. It is hoped that an announcement on the Government's spending plans will be made in November this year.
