Mr. Watson

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) if he will make the sale of Scottish Homes stock in Glasgow open to competitive tender;

(2) if he will make it his policy to suspend the Scottish Homes transfer process in Glasgow while the National Audit Office is investigating the financial position of the Borders region transfer to Waverley Housing;

(3) what is Government policy towards the provision of additional inducements to non-profit-making businesses bidding for Scottish Homes stock;

(4) if he will separate the independent advice role in public sector stock transfer from the disposal agency, Scottish Homes;

(5) whether he is prepared to make finance available for independent advice for tenants targeted for change of landlords by Scottish Homes and various housing associations in Glasgow;

(6) if he will make it his policy to offer choices in stock transfer to tenants of Scottish Homes in Scotland in line with those available to new town tenants;

(7) what is the district valuers assessment of the current tenanted market value of Scottish Homes stock in north west Glasgow within the area being considered for sale to Cube housing association.
