§ Mr. Douglas HoggHer Majesty's Government welcome the US decision on 13 July to end production of weapons grade fissile materials. It is in response to a bilateral initiative from the Russians and does not depend on United Kingdom agreement. United Kingdom production will continue to be kept at the minimum level necessary to satisfy our deterrent and naval reactor requirements.
