§ Mr. David HuntIt is too early to comment on whether I will hold a public inquiry in respect of the proposed improvement of the A494 between River Dee and Ewloe. Once the public consultation exercise is completed I shall consider the comments received and decide whether to protect a route for planning purposes. Should I do so, draft statutory orders, as required by the Highways Act 1980, will be published in due course. Anyone wishing to comment or object to the orders will have the opportunity to do so at that time and depending on the objections received a decision will be made on whether to hold a public inquiry.
