§ Lord James Douglas-Hamilton[holding answer 18 June 1992]: My right hon. Friend has welcomed and accepted the recommendation made by the Scottish Law Commission in its report on the effect of death on damages—Scot. Law Com. No. 134. The hon. Member for Cunninghame, North (Mr. Wilson) introduced a Bill, based upon the Scottish Law Commission's recommendations, on 10 June and the Government have offered the hon. Member their support and assistance in seeking to have the Bill enacted.
