HC Deb 15 July 1992 vol 211 c711W
Mr. Wilson

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland under what criteria grants may be paid by Scottish National Heritage for the maintenance of estate land to which no right of public access exists.

Sir Hector Monro

Scottish National Heritage operates a range of grant schemes designed to conserve and enhance Scotland's natural heritage and to foster the public's enjoyment and understanding of it. All grants awarded deliver public benefit by helping to meet Scottish National Heritage statutory objectives, whether or not there is a public right of access to the land involved.
