§ Mr. Kenneth CarlisleThe European Commission has recently published a proposal for a directive relating to the burning behaviour of materials used in the construction of certain categories of motor vehicles. The proposal has not yet been considered by the Council. Although it does not cover the full range of vehicle interiors, it would be premature to act nationally before discussions have taken place.
