To ask the Secretary of State for Transport in 1991–92 what proportion of Network SouthEast trains(a) arrived within five minutes of the published time, (b) arrived within five minutes of the published time within the morning and evening peak and (c) were cleaned inside and out each day.

The answer is:

  1. (a) 91 per cent.
  2. (b) 85 per cent.
  3. (c) 79 per cent.

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport in 1991–92 what proportion of Network SouthEast passengers were served by booking offices(a) within three minutes and (b) within five minutes in the peak.

In 1991–92, British Rail estimates that 97.4 per cent. of passengers were served by booking offices within three minutes and within five minutes during the peak.

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport in 1991–92 what proportion of telephone inquiries about Network SouthEast trains were answered within 30 seconds.

In 1991–92, British Rail estimates that 91 per cent. of telephone enquiries about Network SouthEast trains were answered within 30 seconds, an improvement of 3 per cent. on the previous year.
