To ask the Secretary of State for Transport on London Underground(a) what percentage of scheduled mileage was run in April, (b) what percentage of passengers had to wait more than one and a half times the scheduled interval in April, (c) what percentage of trains were cleaned internally every day and externally every three days in April and (d) what percentage of passengers had to wait more than three minutes for their tickets in April.

In the four week period up to 25 April, London Underground operated 98 per cent. of scheduled train mileage, 6 per cent. of passengers waited longer than one and a half times the scheduled interval for an underground train, 97 per cent. of underground trains were cleaned internally every service day and 82 per cent. were cleaned externally every three service days, and 1 per cent. of passengers waited longer than three minutes to purchase a ticket. In May, the Government set the Underground a new series of quality of service objectives for the next two years.
