§ Mr. Eggar[holding answer 13 July 1992]: The European Community directive on the transparency of gas and electricity prices—Council directive 90/377/EEC—covers only prices charged to industrial end-users. A commentary on the prices charged at 1 July 1991 was included in the May 1992 issue of "Energy Trends", copies of which are available in the Library.
