§ Mr. Robin SquireEstimates of employment in urban development areas are derived from surveys commissioned periodically by urban development corporations, and refer to the period since the designation of the areas. The figures below give the latest net estimate of permanent jobs created since inception in all UDAs except Merseyside. The figures for Merseyside UDA relate to the period since the area was extended in 1988.
