To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish the findings of the Treasury's recent staff review of the Joint Nature Conservation Committee.

[holding answer 10 July 1992]: The chief executives of English Nature, Scottish Natural Heritage and the Countryside Council for Wales commissioned a report from the Treasury's consultancy and inspection services division. The review covered a number of organisational and management issues as well as staffing in the Joint Nature Conservation Committee's scientific and secretarial support unit. The report is an internal management document and it is for the chief executive to consider how to take it forward.
