§ Mr. SackvilleSyringe tips, which incorporate needles, may be provided free of charge through hospital consultants if they are judged to be clinically necessary and the health authority, having regard to its other priorities, is able to meet the cost. We are considering authorising general practitioners to prescribe both injection pens and needles free of charge providing resources allow.
