To ask the Secretary of State for Health what is her estimate of the average waiting time for a course of dental treatment which requires prior approval because it costs more than £200.

We are discussing with the Dental Practice Board the mechanisms for dealing with the likely increased numbers of applications.

To ask the Secretary of State for Health whether her estimate of the average dentists' annual income took account of the implications of delayed treatment plans and the other implications of the reduction in the figure for costs of treatment requiring prior approval.
