§ 16. Sir Anthony GrantTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment if she will introduce legislation to make the Bridlington agreement unlawful.
§ Mr. Michael ForsythFollowing proposals in the Green Paper, "Industrial Relations in the 1990s", my right hon. Friend intends to bring forward legislation which would greatly increase individuals' freedom to belong to the trade union of their choice. That legislation would make it unlawful for a union to exclude or expel an individual simply because it was required to do so through the application of the Trades Union Congress "Bridlington principles".
