§ Mr. ScottI am advised by the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council (IIAC) on relevant EC matters. This is a statutory advisory body made up of medical experts in occupational health, representatives of employers and employees organisations, a lawyer and an independent social researcher. A list of members can be found in their report published in May 1992, "Work-Related Upper Limb Disorders", Cm 1936.
Other advisory committees associated with the Department are kept informed of EC issues. The Department also discusses EC issues with representatives of the pensions and financial services sector as necessary.
