HL Deb 01 July 1992 vol 538 cc53-4WA
Earl Russell

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What is (a) the average duration, and (b) the median duration of youth training courses.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Employment (Viscount Ullswater)

There are no precise figures available, but it is estimated that in Great Britain in 1991–92, those leaving youth training had spent an average of about 74 weeks in training. No estimate of median duration is currently available.
