To ask the Secretary of State for Health what reasons prompted the ban on Myodil prior to 1987.

Myodil was withdrawn from the United Kingdom market in 1987 by the manufacturers for commercial reasons.

To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) what advice has been issued to health authorities and the medical profession on side effects caused by the use of Myodil;

(2) under what conditions and circumstances the use of Mydol was approved for spinal X-ray procedures.
