Friend's statutory advisers on historic buildings matters, who have extensive listed building powers in London, visit Battersea power station regularly to monitor its physical condition. They last visited the building in November 1991 and will be visiting again within the next couple of weeks. They are also in regular contact with the owner. There is no evidence to suggest that the building has deteriorated over the last two years and the most important internal features are being kept weathertight and waterproof.
