§ Mr. Alan HowarthThe Government have made available some £340 million in capital grant to the Polytechnics and Colleges Funding Council to date. Of this, the council has allocated some £140 million to institutions for building improvements, renovations, additions and extensions. Separate information on building improvements and renovations at polytechnics is not held centrally.
The planned overall total for 1992–93 is some 50 per cent. higher than that of 1989–90.
