To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer when he last met Mr. David Mulford, the United States Treasury Under-Secretary for International Affairs; and if he will make a statement.

My right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer last met Mr. Mulford on 8 January 1992, when he briefed him on the Japan-United States joint communiqué on world economic growth issued by President Bush and Prime Minister Miyazawa. A copy of the communiqué is in the Library of the House.
