To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he expects the Royal Commission on criminal justice to report.

§ Mr. John Patten
When it was established in March 1991, the Royal Commission on criminal justice was asked to make every effort to complete its work within two years. It held its first meeting in June 1991 and we understand that it is seeking to adhere to the two-year timetable.
