To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on United Kingdom aid to the Caribbean basin.

I attach considerable importance to our aid programmes for the Commonwealth countries and the British dependent territories in the Caribbean. Expenditure is around £40 million a year.
