§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThere has been no recent attempted break-in at the palace of Holyroodhouse. On 28 June 1991 the security system at the palace detected that an intruder had gained access to the palace grounds and I received a full report on the incident at the time from the chief constable of Lothian and Borders police.
