§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyThe Department financed three family planning and pregnancy counselling projects for young people under 25 in three separate health districts. The aim of the projects was to help to reduce the risk of unwanted pregnancy among young people. The projects were independently evaluated by the Policy Studies Institute (PSI) and a report of the findings was published in November 1991. The report titled "Family Planning and Pregnancy Counselling Projects for Young People" provides a valuable contribution to the current family planning debate. Copies are available in the Library.
