§ Mr. LeighDetails of major investments known to have located in the northern region since 1979 are listed. All these projects are known to have capital costs in excess of £5 million and all were assisted by grants of regional selective assistance. Comparable information on other forms of assistance is not readily available. The information is set out in the required chronological order and is based on when regional selective assistance was offered.
