asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will sponsor resolutions in the UN Human Rights Commission, either unilaterally or together with the other Members of the European Community, on: (a) breaches of human rights in Iran; and (b) breaches of human rights in Tibet.

Her Majesty's Government have co-sponsored, with our European Community partners, a resolution at the Commission on Human Rights on human rights in Iran. We remain concerned at reports of continued human rights abuse throughout China, including Tibet, and are discussing tabling a resolution on this with other members of the EC.
