Further to the Answer of the Lord Chancellor on 19th December 1991 (cols. WA 83–84), when it will publish the White Paper on the future organisation of the magistrates' courts.

As I will be taking responsibility for the magistrates' courts service from 1st April 1992, my right honourable friend the Home Secretary and I have today published the White PaperA New Framework for Local Justiceand copies have been placed in the Libraries of both Houses.
