§ Mr. McLoughlinThe total number of non-industrial staff in post in the Department of Transport, and its agencies, on 1 April 1991 was 15,484. A survey of the ethnic origin of non-industrial staff showed that of the respondents—representing 81 per cent. of the Department —619 were from ethnic minority groups.
