§ Mr. Nicholas BennettA total of 827 sites of special scientific interest have so far been designated in Wales. The Countryside Council for Wales monitors these sites through its site integrity monitoring programme. 'This process involves undertaking a rolling programme of visits and collecting and examining relevant photographic evidence.
