§ Mr. Archie HamiltonThe group of scientific experts (GSE), a group established under the auspices of the United Nations conference on disarmament, set up a six week experiment called the GSE technical test. The United Kingdom participated fully in this experiment which involved the transmission of data of each seismic disturbance detected by the United Kingdom national seismic station located at Eskdalemuir, Scotland. The data were used by experimental international data centres to produce a daily bulletin of seismic disturbances.
