However, it is 269W intended that police forces and regional crime squads will have terminals for inquiry purposes and that Her Majesty's Customs and Excise will be allowed restricted access.
Until the functional specification has been agreed, it is not possible to say how many records the system will hold. The intelligence will come from police forces in the United Kingdom, regional crime squads and regional drugs wings, Interpol, Her Majesty's Customs and Excise and other international enforcement agencies.
