§ Mr. FallonThe number of teachers employed in nursery, primary and secondary schools in Northumberland education authority in January 1991 was 2,736. Data on education support staff and administrative staff employed in schools were collected for the first time in January 1991 but are not yet available for publication. Information on other categories of non-teaching staff in schools is not collected centrally. The Department does not collect data on administrative staff employed in Northumberland county council.
