§ Mr. FallonMy right hon. and learned Friend does not make assessments of the quality of education, or of the standards of school maintenance, in any particular education authority area. Statistics on levels of achievement in public examinations in different local education authorities are, however, kept by the Department and are publicly available. Reports by Her Majesty's inspectorate on individual schools are also published. The Education (Schools) Bill currently before Parliament will ensure that all schools in Warwickshire are regularly inspected on a four-year cycle with published reports of each inspection.
