§ Mr. Michael ForsythThe United Nations conference on environment and development is expected to agree to a statement of principles for the sustainable management and development of forests, and to give a programme of action to conserve and to expand the world's forests. The Government fully support those initiatives.
Sustainable, multi-purpose forestry is central to the Government's domestic forestry policy which I am sure will fully accord with the agreements that are signed at the United Nations conference.
