§ Mr. Roger KingTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) if he will outline Treasury policy in connection with the remittance of moneys received on the sale by one of Her Majesty's embassies of an ambassadorial limousine;
(2) if he will consider allowing Her Majesty's embassies to retain the proceeds of Rolls-Royce motor cars sold out of service in order to facilitate the purchase of a new one.
§ Mr. MellorReceipts from the sale of official vehicles are retained by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. They are appropriated in aid of the vote—class II, vote 1.—along with other similar receipts. Any receipts above the level shown in the estimate have to be surrendered as Consolidated Fund extra receipts.
