To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what steps are being taken by London East training and enterprise council to improve awareness of its products and aims.

Mr. Jackson

I understand that London East training and enterprise council is improving awareness of its products and aims through a variety of marketing initiatives such as issuing regular newssheets and holding events for specific audiences including employers, educationalists and young people.

All TECs are required to publish summaries of their corporate plan and business plan and an annual report. They are also required to hold a public meeting once a year to inform their local community about their work.
