§ Mr. SteenTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will meet the hon. Member for South Hams and the Dart harbour and navigation authority before making a final decision on the scheme to provide piled pontoon moorings at Kingswear, south Devon, submitted by the authority in February 1989.
§ Mr. CurryI do not believe that a meeting will be necessary. The application was not complete when formally submitted for approval on 2 December 1991, but the Department is now in the process of examining further information submitted by the Dart harbour and navigation authority and by its consultants, as well as the authority's request dated 4 February 1992 for increased costs to be taken into consideration. Our officials should shortly be in a position to let the authority have a decision on the application for approval.
