Mr. JacksonInformation on numbers of career development loans and average loan size by region for the two years in question is given in the following tables. Statistics on the cost of the loans to Government are not available by region. The cost to Government for all career development loans in 1989–90 was £1.2 million and the cost in 1990–91 was £3.7 million.
