To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will show the number of car accidents involving drivers aged(a) 17 to 20 years, (b) 21 to 30 years, (c) to 40 years, (d) 41 to 50 years, (e) 51 to 60 years, (f) 61 to 70 years and (g) 70 years and older both as a figure and as a percentage of all drivers in the relevant age category.

The information requested is given in the table. Information on the proportion of driving licence holders who are active drivers is not available. This may vary between age groups.
