To ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether he has plans to make any further savings in the defence budget; and if he will make a statement.

The Government's future intentions for defence expenditure are set out in the 1991 Autumn Statement and provide funding for the new force structure described in the Statement on the Defence Estimates, 1991 (Cm 1559). There are no plans to change these forecasts.
