§ Mr. EggarResponsibility for education and day care in Wales rests with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales and for day care in England with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Health. My Department's estimates of recurrent expenditure by local education authorities in England on education for the under fives are £685 million in 1990–91 and £776 million in 1991–92.
