§ Mr. MacleanAn independent expert group, appointed by the Government, is currently reviewing the regulatory framework covering the animal feedingstuffs industry, with particular reference to food safety aspects. The proposed amendment to directive 74/63/EEC is not expected to have a financial impact on the Department or directly on animal feedingstuffs manufacturers, who should receive additional safeguards regarding their raw materials.
