§ Mr. NelsonThe Insurance Ombudsman Bureau provides a method of resolving disputes between insurers and individual policy holders. Some building societies have agreed to the voluntary extension of the building societies ombudsman's powers in resolving disputes over home income plans. Talks are continuing to try to agree an acceptable role for the ombudsman in cases concerning the West Bromwich building society.
