HC Deb 17 December 1992 vol 216 c412W
Mr. Alexander

To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many drug information pharmacists are employed by regional, district and family health services authorities; and at what annual cost.

Dr. Mawhinney

Two hundred and twenty-eight drug information pharmacists are employed by regional and district health authorities and by national health service trusts. This includes those working part time. Information on costs is not collected centrally. Pharmacists employed by family health service authorities generally hold the post of pharmaceutical adviser rather than drug information pharmacist.
